 What is permanent makeup?

It is also a valuable procedure for camouflaging scars, burns, skin pigmentation variances caused by vitiligo, correcting some facial irregularities or to further enhance facial rejuvenation and post-operative treatments.

Is permanent makeup similar to tattooing?

It has some of the same qualities, yet it is very different. Only specialists in micro-pigmentation can perform this procedure on the face; tattoo artists cannot. Anais Micropigmentation uses only the techniques, tools and pigments that are specially designed for micro-pigmentation procedures making it safe, sterile and painless. Anais Micropigmentation Uses the nais digital system made in Germany and certified medical device with accupuntuPermanent makeup clinicians also use effective topical anesthetics that are not allowed for use by tattoo artists. There needles system. y also use instruments that are much more delicate in design that provides natural-looking results.

What are the coloring agents used in permanent makeup?

Anais Micropigmentation uses safe, coloring pigments approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. These have been gamma irradiated that eliminates germ contamination. They're inert in nature and don't interfere with the body's chemistry. Some permanent makeup artists use other pigments containing iron oxide which fade quickly to an "orangy" color. These can cause skin irritation when undergoing a MRI exam and distort the image. Anais Micropigmentation pigments stay true to color, fading gradually to a lighter shade.

Is permanent makeup a safe procedure?

At Anais Micropigmentation the procedures are only performed under sterile conditions. Only disposable needles are used. There are no long-term side effects; short-term effects may include some redness, swelling and tenderness.

There are no known allergic reactions to pigments. Allergy tests are always performed on our clients before treatment by injecting a tiny bit of pigment into the hairline.

Is there any discomfort associated with the procedure?

Topical gel-like anesthetics are applied to the area being worked upon which significantly block pain. Most patients report little or no discomfort.

How long does the procedure take to complete?

The average time required for a procedure is between 1 to 2 hours.

What kind of healing time is involved? Is any care required after the procedure?

Some swelling and redness can be expected for 24 hours following the procedure. A cold compress helps to reduce any swelling around the eye area. The treated area must be kept clean. No makeup should be applied for several days. Some skin peeling and lightening of the applied color is normal. If any additional adjustments are desired, these will be made during your follow-up appointment.

Regular routines usually can be resumed immediately after the procedure. However, swimming or vigorous exercise should be avoided for a few days. Normal healing times is between 4 to 7 days.

Is the procedure guaranteed?

Yes, we want our clients to be totally satisfied with the results. As a result, we offer free follow-up treatments for 12 months following the procedure.

How is the specific desired look and shades of coloring determined?

How is Anais Micropigmentation different from other permanent makeup specialists?

Anais Micropigmentation specializes in giving clients a truly natural look. Our clients' safety and satisfaction is our top priority. We use federally approved superior pigments as coloring agents. Our micro-pigmentation instruments are patented, specially designed just for us for safe and effective permanent makeup application. We use fine brushes to artfully create the look our clients seek. For instance, eyebrows are recreated with fine lines simulating feathered hair and contoured into a natural-looking arch.

Above all, our entire staff of clinicians is committed to providing the best service, care and desired results to every client. Our expertise and care has earned us an outstanding reputation with thousands of satisfied clients and recommendations by physicians. Many of the area's leading plastic surgeons, ophthalmologists and other doctors refer their patients to Anais Micropigmentation.

How does the qualifications of Anais Micropigmentation makeup clinicians differ from other permanent makeup practitioners?

Each of our clinicians undergoes an extensive supervised training program. All of our clinicians work for Anais Micropigmentation system and perform permanent makeup exclusively.

Other practitioners combine their interest in permanent makeup with other beauty treatments such as working with hair and nails. They often receive their "certification" for permanent makeup application by attending a one or two-day seminar with little or no "hands-on" experience. They actually start their permanent makeup experience practicing on their first clients and this can greatly jeopardize the clients¹ safety and satisfaction.

How long does permanent make-up last?

Gradual fading can be expected for all micro-pigmentation procedures. This varies among individuals and is dependent on the specific shade used in the procedure. Most colors last 3 to 5 years, although some may not fade for as long as 10 years. Periodic touch-ups are recommended to maintain the desired look. You can also choose to change colors of your permanent makeup. For instance, a nude lipcolor can be modified to a peachy pink; or a brown eyeliner to a black or navy hue.

Is the procedure covered by insurance for restorative procedures?

Depending on your health plan, some procedures are reimbursable. i.e. if a scar is the result of an accident or cancer treatment.
